Quote:It also gained an important tiebreaker over a Tulsa team that was the preseason choice to win the conference title.

No tie breaker will be needed when we go undefeated in conference play.

Quote:“It was a big game for us because it was our next game,” Drake said. “We talk about it all the time, we just weren’t settling and looking at this game. We want to win all our games.”

I love that the players are looking ahead to just the next game.

This actually turned out to be a pretty good stretch for maintaing proper focus, even though it is a difficult run. You can't look ahead to Tulsa when you've got to go on the road to play a very good Marshall team. You can't look ahead to UTEP when the team you're tied for first with is coming to town. You can't look ahead to Memphis when the team that just beat them is next. And you don't look past Memphis at Memphis, period. It's just been flat impossible to look too far ahead.
