Guarding Jordan.

Had Tulsa played the big white guy more along with Jordan, we would have been toast.

We could not guard both of them.

Cooper did great, but man do I wish he could elevate a little more.

Coop's effort will not show up in the box score, but he was absolutely an integral part of the win.

Jordan didn't want any part of Cooper. He was a big part of this win, stats be damned.

Cooper did a great job fronting Jordan and denying him the entry pass. Cooper may not score much, but he can sure lean that big body on the other teams' post players on defense.

Totally disagree. I think the necessary adjustments would have been made by Marsh.

Coop was HUGE on defense for us tonight! No doubt about it. He pretty much shut Jordan down. I love how Coop plays and Im going to miss him next year!

Yep. Coop played as much as he did for one reason and one reason only -- man up on Jordan -- and he did a phenomenal job. Any offense that Coop provided was gravy.

I do wish he had more of an offensive game and could elevate better than he does, but his contributions to this team are incalculable. It's just nice to have more than one post player on the team this year. Last year's team was one Kenneth Cooper away from the NCAA tourney.

Absolutely. Without Coop, we could not have stopped him. Putting a body on Jordan pretty much stops his game for the most part. I was expecting more from after reading the press this year. He is going to have trouble in the NBA if he cannot overcome a big frame guarding him. Coop doing it without fouling out was tremendous!

RE: Cooper had a good game .....
IMO, Cooper should have been chosen as the player of the game. Jordan might have scored 6 while Coop had the duty of leaning on him.

"Coop doing it without fouling out was tremendous!"

At least two of his fouls were against other guys.

Different dynamic last year, can't say that Coop would have the same effect. He's part of a team this year that plays with a lot more energy.

Coop was a big, pesky, fly to Jordan and it was obvious this kept Tulsa distracted.
Agreed, he deserves more recognition for his effort(s).

Agree. This team has a different AJ, a different Crawford, and a different Mike Davis. Cooper wouldn't have helped. But...on this team...he's critical. I think we'd have lost by 12 without him last night. Crawford can't handle Jordan. Cameron couldn't come close. But you could almost see Jordan's shoulders sag when he saw Cooper at the scorer's table.

There is some truth to this. I saw at least a couple of times when on the offensive end near the end of the game when both Jordan and "the big white guy" were in, they blocked a couple of Coop's shots in tandem.

If they'd played them both more, we win by 20 - neither one has much stamina and they'd have had to play a lot of minutes with neither one on the court and no way to stop Crawford and Millsap.

Wojcik handles his team well. We should be very happy with the win.
