I am not concerned about this game in the slightest. KSU is getting the Bears at the worst possible time. Yes, KSU has won 2 straight. However, they are still the ASUN punching bag. Mercer gets back on track in Macon on Wednesday.

Can't sugarcoat this stretch. Humiliating losses to drop the Bears to 5-5 in the conference. 2 points is the difference and way too many times to count Kennesaw forced turnovers on the full court press. Something that has to be corrected or else this year is gonna fade out. The points for KSU created off those turnovers in the backcourt plus shots Mercer never got to take easily can cover 2 points.

I also saw Ingle run 100MPH there at the end on the OB call on KSU.

Seriously, though -- I was as shocked at the outcome as you. I'd like to think it's KSU starting to gel, but I guess we'll see ... good luck in the rematch.

From the look of it on TV (and according to your own announcers) that ball was pretty clearly off Emerson. Just glad that didn't come back to haunt us. I thought our ability to limit Florence from dominating the game was huge for us. Ya'll killed us on the offensive putbacks, and it was back and forth the whole game. Neither team would let the other one get away from the other.

I think it is pretty clear that this team is no longer the punching bag of the league. We went through a rough spot midway through this year, but we seem to have emerged from it playing better basketball. Your team will come around. Florence and Emerson won't let this season go to waste.

The bleeding gets worse! Instead of taking control of the first spot in the conference standings by taking three games against league bottom dwellers, they lose three in a row and fall back to the middle of the pack. What's going on? It sure would be nice to see the team bounce back and lock up one of the top 2 seeds for the tourney in order to get the Thursday bye.

8 Teams will be in the tournament this year. As I understand it, there will be no byes.

I hear ya, Toby! It's strange.. but we have to remember we are supporting human beings with emotions, health problems, and stress just like the rest of us. Anything could change a game. Only the team knows the real concerns, and they have been working on fixing it I'm sure!

As for the 'bye', I guess if you are #1 or #2 (or 7 or 8 for that matter), you play Wednesday. Then if you win you play again on Friday. If you are #3-6 then you play Thursday with no days off regardless of wins. Did I get that right?

I am not sure, but I am just hoping that Kennesaw doesn't get left out in our first year. That was looking fairly likely 3 games ago. Now we have put ourselves in a position to compete for a decent seed. I think you are right MFan about having to play back to back...at least that makes sense to me.

Either way those tournament games are gonna be tense!
