Rheumatologist/Arthritis Doc
I would greatly appreciate if anyone can recommend a good rheumatologist/arthritis doc in the Memphis area. Need one asap! Thank you in advance for your help!
*Sorry, if this is the wrong place to post this, but with the deletion of the "Memphis Thang" forum, I didn't know where to post.*

RE: Rheumatologist/Arthritis Doc
I got two I can recommend. Hugh Holt Jr. from the arthritis group and Dr. Michael Boatwright .
Dr. Holt has rheumatology in his blood. His father was a very good rheumy. He treated my mother for years. His Son Hugh, is very good too. He is like 50 or so. I use to see him. Not much of a talker but he knows he stuff.
I switched to Dr. Boatright because he was on my new insurance and because my father was friends with one of his Nurse Practioners that was on his staff. I love Dr. Boatwright. He is young but he is good. He will set down and talk with you. He will run every test known to man on you but that isn't a bad thing.
Either doc is very good and I highly recommend. I prefer Dr. Boatright because he is closer to my age and I can relate to him a bit better. He will sit and shoot the crap with ya too. Very down to earth guy.
I hope you have insurance because it is very expensive for either one. The first visits with blood work are around 500-600 bucks. Probably more now though, it has been 4 years since I started going to Dr. Boatright.

Good luck with whomever you choose. (Call as soon as you can because it takes a while to get appointments).

RE: Rheumatologist/Arthritis Doc
Thank you for the recommendation! I made an appointment with Dr. Boatright. They tried to squeeze me in, but they can't do it until Jan 27th! His nurse said if they didn't put me in at that time slot, I would have to wait until June. This doc must be awesome!
Thank you, again!

I am glad you got your appointment set. Took me about 4 months to get my first appointment with him. One thing you will see about him is he really cares about his patients.
Let me know what you think about him after your first visit.
