Miami, Ferris State battle for !st place
#2 Miami invades #6 Ferris State this weekend. The two teams are tied for first place in the CCHA. This is probably not the best time for Miami to be playing this huge series. We are finished with 3rd place Michigan State and these will be our final games with Ferris State.

Miami wins in dominating fashion, 4-0 behind Reichert. First home ice loss of the season for Ferris. Should we win again tomorrow, we would have a commanding lead in the CCHA.

It might also be worth mentioning that Denver, the current No. 1, is idle this weekend so Miami has a chance to take back the top spot.

Miami finishs the sweep with a 5-4 victory. Reichert played both games in goal(unless it is a really crucial game, we rotate goalies). This was a really big weekend for us. If we can get at least one win in Alaska next weekend we will be very hard to catch. After next weekend we do not have to leave Ohio as we have 7 home games and 2 at BG and 1 at OSU, and we will have good fan support for all 3 of those games.
