O/T Mike Leach - where and when
Where does Mike Leach end up (excellent X and Os coach)?

Does he sit out '10 (and collect some nice green from TT) and then move on?

Does a BCS school which wants a spread expert make a play for him?

I'll guess next December he'll end up in the MWC or B12 (but that seems dicey to me). Doubt the B10 or Pac10. SEC????

He'd be an excellent choice for a MWC school looking to make a splash. UNLV? SDSU?

Some call him 'toxic' now, but his reputation is really big now and Bobby Knight took his toxic reputation to TT.

This is a total guess on my part but I think he sits out this year, he'll be coaching a BCS team next year, and in about three or four years he'll settle with TT for at least 3 million and attorney's fees.

I agree.

AND I believe the TT program will be a shell of itself in 3 years.

The new coach might win a year or two with Leach's players, but TT will revert to an average B12 team, at best.

I was thinking of that same analogy the other day. Despite all of Knight's well-known antics and aggressive behavior toward his players, high school recruits were still itching to play for him.

I'll bet that come Nov. '10 that some BCS schools will be moving quickly to fire their HC to be first in line to speak with Mike Leach, his agent, and his attorney.

What he did with James was stupid BUT it doesn't measure up to Bobby Knight's "LIFETIME" award for bad behavior.

If Leach stays in the B12 we'll have some nice drama in '11. 05-stirthepot

RE: O/T Mike Leach - where and when
Leach sits out the 2010 season while fighting a nasty court battle for a settlement which will drag Tech through the mud. Tech might avoid a nasty mud slinging battle that will make them look bad and give Leach a good settlement right away so they can move on and leave this ugly situation behind them.

Leach will resurface with a BSC team in 2011 or at the very least a MWC team which will find itself in the BCS after the next evaluation period is over. Leach with any other BCS team will make the BSC Championship Game before Tech ever will. If Tech can land Tuberville they will stay relevant for a while. If they don't they return to the land of mediocrity and irrelevance in the B-12 South cellar again.

That's just a dumb statement. He is a great offensive mind who turned around that TT program. He will be coaching again at another school very soon.

The school that hired Bobby Knight, fires a coach for accusations coming from a lazy, spoiled, player who couldn't play in the MAC. Hilarious.

Accusations backed up by other people. He deserved to be fired.

Actually, it's an opinion...much like yours. We've all got them. Try a little respect for fellow posters. Just a thought.

Whether or not he gets "blackballed" by college football could very well hinge upon the opinion of Bob Stoops, among others.

Good guess.

He can stay in Texas with one of their teams.

That would help C-USA big time.

Bloggers are saying that Leach's players are happy to move on.

He's got a tarnished reputation. But so do lots of coaches. I think he comes back.

Not just bloggers. The AP recap of the bowl game had a few quotes from players that indicated they were better off Leachless.
