but that was a tough one to lose. 3 missed field goals of less than 40 yards- 2 in the last minute and one in OT. ECU really didn't deserve to lose that one.

I really feel terrible for the kicker from ECU. But I'm happy for Alex Tejada. He really needed that to go out a winner. Petrino should have bought a lottery ticket this week as lucky as he was tonight. But great win for the Hogs. Should add one or two really good recruits as a result of the bowl game win.04-cheers

You must be joking. I'm married to an ECU grad, and I have a daughter who just graduated from ECU two weeks ago and was a the game in her purple. What do you think? The poor kicker for ECU will have nightmares about this night for the rest of his life. Poor kid.

Arkansas did not win this game as much as ECU handed it to them. The Chickenhawgs had one offensive touchdown. That's all the so called high powered offense that we've heard so much about produced agaisnt the ECU defense. Pickney gave the Chickenhawgs 10 points on ill advised passes, and the Chickenhawg's field goal kicker turned out to be just a little bit better awful than the more awful ECU field goal kicker.

The parts I saw, ECU simply looked like a better team. I would say a lot of that was Skip Holtz. But, I was disappointed in his play call on 3 and 2 in the overtime. They were running at will. Why call a pass play? They run it twice, no way Arkansas stops them from getting a first down. If they do, so be it. But why put that kid in a position of having to try another field goal from almost the same distance as the other 2 he missed. Boy, being a kicker must be tough. How do you face your other 84 teammates who played their hearts out and clearly outplayed an SEC team?

PTJR, I certainly figured you were pulling for ECU- But since you are a born and bred Arkansas, I thought you still might have a few drops of Razorback red blood in your veins. Seems to be a hard thing to get out of your system except for a few notable exceptions like LRTrojan.

I didn't realize Penny was an ECU grad. But hey. That shouldn't have anything to do with whom you cheer for. If James Carville and Mary Matalin can be married with their differences, you and Penny should have no problems rooting for different teams. But I realize that somewhere along the way you had a transfusion and got rid of most of that Hog blood. Just kidding. And even though I wanted the Hogs to win, I felt terrible for that kicker from ECU. He'll have nightmares for years about that game.04-cheers

Not when it comes to your daughter's Alma Mater, that put me over the top. If it was just Penny, I'd have to be careful but could get away with it. Over the last four years I have gone to Pirate games in Greenville, went to the Liberty Bowl last year, and their road game at UNC this year. I think now I will always be a Pirate fan. I usually do root for the Chickenhawgs, but the Purple influence is just too strong now to root against the Pirates.
