Reed is on fire
With 8 minutes remaining in the game she has 40 points with the ladies up by 12. She broke the single game scoring record for the UALR ladies.

What a performance! She has or will make alot of womens basketball fans if they will come see her play. I'm ready for the MTSU game, that will be a great game.

She has a legitimate shot of being an All-American this season. We could promote her. I know alot of schools will do a website for their players that have a shot at being an All-American or winning some type of award. She is a legitimate super star and I have no doubt she will probably get a shot in the WNBA. Hopefully, the athletic department will take notice and start promoting the ladies and Reed stronger.

Below is a link of the Riley the young lady that plays for OSU. There are other sites of other players but this one came to mind relating to ladies.

Chastity is amazing. How in the world did we manage to land a player with her abilities?

All I know about you guys signing Reed is that she was one of those late signees that usually don't work out but this one did in a big way.

Just out of interest, since I had no idea, I looked at WNBA salaries. I have no doubt Chastity will be playing there in a couple of years if she chooses to do so. Team salary caps are about $750,000. Maximum salary is about $95,000. Rookie contracts are in the table below. Certainly not the NBA, but a young woman can make a nice living right out of college.

Rookie contracts
Rookies still sign three-year deals with a team option for a fourth. Projected wage scales for 2008:

Picks 1st year 2nd year 3rd year 4th year

1-4 $44,064 $44,945 $49,440 $56,182

5-8 $40,759 $41,574 $45,732 $51,968

9-14 $36,353 $37,080 $40,788 $46,350

Second round $35,000 $35,700 $39,270 $44,625

Third round $34,500 $35,190 $36,950 $42,229

I think the women's season runs through the summer (2 or 3 months). Alot of the WNBA players play overseas during the fall. According to google the average salary overseas is 45K to 90K euros. That is good money for a young lady. Then throw in endorsements and that is even better.

I wondered if salaries in Europe were higher. If a player can do both, that's even better.
