RE: Recruiting matters
I don't think he's itching to leave. I just think he was interested in the Notre Dame job...

I think it nothing more than ND pressuring BK to accept the job by floating Edsall name around.

I like Edsell, but why does he seem itching to leave UCONN?

It's a great job that is only going to get better. Is it just money?

It is a great job and he is not itching to leave. It is just media continue to make it that way. I have no doubt he can win at UCONN. Peterson can win at Boise and I am sure Edsall can win at UCONN as well. Yes CT does not have a huge strong recruiting base, but with TV etc. these days it is not hard to recruit as people think. As I mentioned in this thread, there are a ton of talent on the current UCONN roster so recruiting is not the issue as some people think.

If you guys really want to read and find out what a joke those recruiting rankings are, read the Meat Market: Inside the Smash-Mouth World of College Football Recruiting by Bruce Feldman. It is only $17 on Amazon and it shows how political recruiting is and how those stars can easily be manipulated.
