I really don't know what newcomers are playing major roles for other Belt schools, but I would think Alex has to be in the conversation. I'm not sure that Solo would qualify as a transfer, but I really don't see why not.

Yes, there is freshmen of the year, and then "newcomer of the year" for transfers, Jucos etc that did not play in the belt last year.

I'm taking those awards for my guys if they continue to play like they did tonight. Adams for Newcomer of the year and Reed for Freshman of the Year.
