i think things may have been a little different had uc not screwed up first drive. not win mind you but more oklahoma game like.
florida would have beat every team in the country last night by a lot.
uc is obviously a ways away from being elite. but thats ok. we dont need to win the sec. just continue winning or challenging for big east title. keep building the fan base. keep building upon recruiting in cincinnati. just think had uc been able to win a kid like kuechly how much that would have helped the defense this year and the coming years.
fans can not let down if we want to continue to grow and build as a program. and i think the fans did awesome this year.
to the players, great season! great fun watching you guys. so many memories. and looking forward to next year.
Florida's a team that could put up 50 points on a lot of teams, but a tough, disciplined, and smart defense like Alabama could easily shut them down just like they did a month ago. Alabama is playing for the title for a reason.
Florida isn't the best team in the country. Definitely top 3, but not the best.

All he had to do was take a couple knees at that point. Cincy wasn't going to call a TO. But there were none taken. He's is a big time douche.

That was the biggest reason I always hated that whiney faced putz Spurrier. He made a career running up the score on everyone. No losses are ever to many for him now...nor to big. Same goes with Meyer now in my book.
Sour grapes on my part. Yea...I guess so. But I really can accept that Florida was the much better team. What I can't accept is the disrespect clowns like Meyer show other teams...and the sport. I hate it at every phase of sport.

The rush play with 8 seconds was pretty dbag-esque. We were going to score more than 27 points in 8 seconds to win the game?
Take a knee, it's over. I don't understand why Urban is so bitter towards UC.

Florida can do whatever it wants in games like this. Like it or leave it, they deserved to do whatever they wanted considering Tebow was out of the game too.
They didn't take Tebow out until the final possession. But, I am fine with it, anyhow. It sure forced us not to quit.
I would have liked to see us play two halves like the second. It wouldn't have been QUITE as bad.
I'd say 70-80% of the TV crowd was gone at half time so other than some UC - Florida fans not many watched the second half. Any company that paid big bucks for a second half ad didn't get much for their money.

Griffen, you've got to chill out man. You might be right about needing substitutions, but you've gotta admit, when any defense is up by that much, they let up a little bit. I'm not sure which of us is right, but that's besides the point. Your criticism of Meyer is a little too much. I'll agree with you about the run with 8 seconds left, but our OC likely called that play and not Meyer. But you're right, it wasn't a nice thing to do and I wouldn't like it if he did it to my team. As far as that final TO, if you watched the cut away to the sideline, Meyer was hugging all his guys. The TO was more to soak in Tebow, the seniors, the NFL juniors, (and maybe Meyer's) last game. Tebow airing the ball out and going for more points was also part of a tribute to him and Gator nation, not a classless act (PhotoGator explained it in my thread). I know how it looks from the outside, but Meyer isn't nearly as horrible a person as you think he is. Tebow has meant EVERYTHING to our program and Meyer let him have fun in his final game and one of the highlights of his life.

Haha, alright. Guess there's no point in arguing. I get where you're coming from, I was just trying to point out that there's more than one side to every issue. What you see as classless is what most gator fans see as a tribute to Tim and our great senior class. But you're right, you're completely entitled to your own opinions and if you want to hate on Meyer, that's your choice. No hard feelings. Good luck to your program in the future, I'll be rooting for you guys.

That's cool. I have no hard feeling for any of the gator fans in here. Nor for Florida as a program. And as for Meyer. The worst part of all this is he's a Cincy grad. And he has family that still lives here. I'm sure he pissed off a lot of the locals.
But like it's my opinion. It was his choice to do what he did.
