He's one of my favorite players on the team, but the team is struggling as Keaton is struggling. As the senior on the team, he has to get his shot back. In the last three games he is 3 of 18 from 3 point and is averaging 7.6 points per game.

We can't depend on the freshmen to pick up our play. I hope this coming week will be the cure for Keaton.

RE: Game vs. #1 Kansas
This team had a solid first half. We kept the turnovers to a minimum and played great defensive against a vastly more talented team. But in the second half they just fell apart. Kansas got on a roll and no one was stopping them. Still...at least our boys are going up against some top quality competition. I hope this helps them grow alot.

BTW...I saw them lose at home to EIU....I got so disgusted I left. I keep having to remember how young and inexperienced this team is. Hopefully coach Byrd kicks them into a higher gear. He always does.

Agreed on all parts. Our young guns hurt us in OOC play.

But I hold high hopes for conference play. I think we can run the table.

Come on #14 seed in the tournament!

You do realize that running the table means you will go undefeated?

If there's one thing I've learned about ASUN fans, it's that they're wet behind the ears and delusional as hell. And they come in small numbers.

Why does 'running the table' keep coming up? I am confused. NO ONE ever runs the table in conference play. It happens maybe once every 10-15 years in a conference.

No one is going to 'run the table' in the conference. Belmont might very well win the regular season if they continue to improve, but I can almost guarantee them 3-4 losses at a minimum.

One guy on our board makes a statement and you lump, not only all Belmont fans, but all ASun fans. Nice move. I'm sorry that all of us cannot be as basketball savy as ETSU fans. One day maybe all of us poor idiots can become as intelligent on college basketball as buccaneer fans and then our boards will be as backbiting as you guys.

Bruin2002,

I have to admit that I am saddened by the Belmont comment. Thus far I have always found Belmont fans to be respectful and intelligent. I was hoping the "soon our division 2 school will be in the ACC" mentality, or sickness, only belonged to a few of the Kennesaw kids. But I see that is not so. Perhaps it is being somewhat new to division 1 basketball? Or maybe just being a group of college-aged kids who never really followed sports in their youth? I really don't know. Whatever the root cause...it's damned ridiculous.

Gulf Coast wins 66-63. Sucks. We lost to them last year too.
