I guess Cincinnati shouldn't bother showing up to the Sugar Bowl
You, I think coach Quinn needs to call the players together tomorrow and tell them that Kirk Herbstreit and the ESPN crew said that you're going to get destroyed, so don't bother showing up. Because, apparently, being 12-0 and #3 in the country doesn't mean anything because Tim Tebow is god.

Now can UC prevent the fiasco that took place at the Orange Bowl last year? UC fans shouldn't be worried about what Herb and the crew maybe saying about this game. If bulletin board material truly exist then this will benefit the Bearcats.
But now we are going to see what UC is really made of and if the Bearcats win, it will be the biggest win in school history. No more of this we don't get respect stuff. You got a chance to get what you feel you've earned on New Years Day. I can't wait to see it.
What are fricking talking about. Now we are going to see what UC is really made of? We went 12-0 playing a very competitive schedule. We know what we are made of even if uniformed fans like you don't. You are as bad as the talking heads on ESPN.
We have a change to what you feel you've earned on New Year's Day? What is that supposed to mean? Good Lord, we are ranked 3rd in the country, went undefeated, and earned the Big East's AUTOMATIC BCS BID. We did not back into anything.
Go back to the C-USA board.

Urban leaving could be a focal point for UF really wanting a win, Then again it may simply be one more distraction. If UF is totally focused I think it will be a long day for cincy, If they are not ready Cincy beats em. I hate the gaytors, but they are a legit # 1 thru 4 team in the country when ready to play.

No, you're the only one saying that the Gators didn't have anything to play for. Everyone, including the media, was saying that Florida was motivated for this game, wanting to go out a winner.
Now can UC prevent the fiasco that took place at the Orange Bowl last year?
Yes.
UC fans shouldn't be worried about what Herb and the crew maybe saying about this game. If bulletin board material truly exist then this will benefit the Bearcats.
How ironic that the fan of a team that has NOTHING to do with UC and the Big East is telling us not to worry about what someone says. So why should worry about what a UAB fan says!? It just seems to me that you're a fan that is angry that UC left C-USA and is successful in the Big East, so now you're hoping that Florida wins.
But now we are going to see what UC is really made of and if the Bearcats win, it will be the biggest win in school history.
UC is 12-0 and ranked #3 in the country after winning back-to-back BCS conference titles. We already know what they're made of.
No more of this we don't get respect stuff. You got a chance to get what you feel you've earned on New Years Day. I can't wait to see it.
I know this is harsh, but nobody cares whether or not you're excited to see it, because everybody obviously knows you're rooting for Florida. Which is sad. I've seen more C-USA fans running on this board, rooting for Florida, or Virginia Tech, Georgia, Oklahoma, Wake Forest, or any other school that the Big East plays, and defending the ACC ever since the Big East has been successful. If UC wins then you'll just come up with an excuse of how Florida beat themselves, or were emotionally worn out, etc. Or that UC will not be the same without Kelly. But if Florida wins then you'll come these boards talking trash after a program you don't root for won a game.

And Cincinnati is a legit #1 thru 4 team when ready to play. Again, the irony, the same people who complain about other schools getting special treatment because of tradition and name, are the same ones predicting a Florida blowout because of tradition. This isn't the same Florida team that won the national title two of the last three years.

The last time I checked, UC has graduating senoirs as well. I know Tebow walks on water, but UC's players have motivation also. I know Meyer practically invented college football, so there is no way Florida can lose.
Herbstreit just keeps giving me more reasons to hate Ohio State.

Actually, Herbie's giving me more reasons to hate ESPN, as it is that crap network giving him the face time... Herbie has nothing to do with the way I feel about OSU. Speilman's an OSU grad, and he's one of the best out there. But Herbie's just a blowhard.

I don't hate ESPN because of Herbstreit. Herbie is just a symptom of the reason why I hate ESPN. All of the people employed by ESPN are nothing more than cheerleaders. Most of them have little or no training in journalism, and their only qualification is that they were a sports personality, and they either look nice and speak well, or were one of the best coaches in their sport (they can be ugly - and speak poorly)...
That's why sports journalism sucks now. It's the ESPN mentality. ESPN The Magazine isn't worth reading. There's no real NEWS in there. ESPN wouldn't know sports NEWS if it kicked Herbie in the face...

ESPN's basically just the sports equivalent of MSNBC or Fox News now. It's all pretty much just ****** propoganda, none of it is actual news. The network has its own agenda, like MSNBC or Fox, that it drives constantly. Anyone who actually thinks ESPN is impartial to certain sports, teams, programs, etc. is blind and dumb. And it sucks, because most people these days aren't able to differentiate between news reporting and news commentary. Not only do they provide unparalleled access for those of us who live and die with our teams, but they provide "analysis" (like MSNBC & Fox) for those who aren't mentally capable of doing so on their own. The sad part is, those doing the analysis aren't really capable of doing any either.
Anyway. Point is, ESPN's just as pathetic as any other cable news network these days. Maybe PBS can make a sports network.

With all the Meyer turmoil + disappointment at loss of #1 ranking, i think Cincy has an excellent chance to win.
