If we use 'thetrojantown.com' or 'ualr.ncaabbs.com' or any other domain of the board host we will need to clear it with the admin (georgia tech swagger). Thanks in advance.

When I met Chris Peterson in Tulsa in 2006 he was cordial and positive. He did nto say anything negative. He did nto encourage us to expand, either. He just said something to the effect of: thanks for your support and what you provide for the fans. He knows there is a benefit. We just need to make sure we abide by the house rules regarding signage and advertising noncommercial entities at the arena and we should be fine. I don't like handouts too much becaue it often becoms litter. If you are going to hand out cards, don't do it "cold". Only give them to people who actually would be interested. The signs area great idea. The problem is a simple matter of not giving the unintentional impression of being anything "official" from the university. We are anything BUT.

What would you suggest using? I have a pretty crude, but readable board made up that says "Talk Trojans" littlerocktrojans.com. Is that acceptable, or do we need to word it another way?04-cheers

I think he bit the dust. As best that I can remember, one of the wheels in the administration(not athletic administration)stayed on his butt, until he got fed up with it, and evidently quit supporting the team. Like we've got enough fans to run some off.

Too bad about tipsy. Sorry to hear that our administration likes to commit fan relations suicide.

2. jerry, unless you tripped mike and hurt him, you have only made things hard on your kid with baseless comments. the lack of a 5 that could play against ncca tournament teams and a 4 that could fill the void left by mike are our two issues.

3. make the sign and hold it up or business cards.

i think most fans that are message board users have found the site and read it. for every one person that posts here are probably 5 that are lurkers. the tip in club guys are mostly lurkers but do read. throw in the parents, kids, some staff and you got 50 people reading what 7 or 8 think. thing is the kids read it like the paper because you can count of us posting but you can't count of your name being covered in the paper. odds are if you play 5 minutes in a game we are going to pick that 5 minutes apart. the paper only covers the 5 minutes in the box score.

I think you are correct. Most of the people that come to our games are not retards (probably very politically incorrect for a psychologist to use that term). If they were interested in posting on a message board they'd type in "UALR Trojan Message Board" on any search engine and get to this site with little difficulty. All of us on this board did that, and most of us are over 50 and not particularly computer savvy. I kinda of doubt that there are hundreds (or even 10's) of folks out there who will suddenly become active posters on this board if they see a sign advertising it at the arena. We have a high percentage of our diehard fans on this board already- I'm not saying there are not good fans who don't use the board, but most apparently are not crazy like we are or have something constructive to do with their spare time.
