Loss to Longwood
Another pitiful performance on the hardwood tonight. Lost to Longwood. They don't even have a conference much less a gym.

I don't know about our season guys. You go out and dominate Jacksonville and then lay another egg against a team you should easily beat. I am getting pretty disgusted with the effort put forth on the road. It is just not there this year on the road. If you are going to have a winning season and be a champion you have to win on the road and we have proven that we cannot do that. We are first in the conference right now but how many road games can we win if you can't beat the likes of Longwood.

What I thought was a promising season is turning out to be just average at best. We really blew a good chance at a win. Fairly disgusted right now.

Yeah I'm wondering how this happened. I would say don't put too much stock into the JU game. The dolphins are awful right now. We waxed them too.

I am not losing hope yet. Hopefully we can pick up steam during the conference play.

RE: Loss to Longwood
It's definitely a dissapointing loss, but it's waaaay too earlier to make any determinations on the season. We have to remember these are all college kids. They just finished exams, all their friends have gone home, they're sitting around Buies Creek with even less to do than normal, and they probably see this as just some game they have to get out of the way so they can go home, see their family, and get some good food. Just because we all spend time analyzing games on message boards doesn't mean these guys don't want a break. Sure, we'd love them to take every game seriously and play their best each time they tip off, but that's not reality. They're 18-22. Just keep it in perspective.

The biggest thing to remember anyway is that we're 2-0 in conference and that's the most important thing. If we compete in conference and put ourselves in a position to win the tourney, we'll be fine.

RE: Loss to Longwood
You guys can make whatever excuse you want to but there is no reason to go and lay an egg like that to a team like Longwood. The last time we played Longwood at home a few years ago they beat us as well and we had an equally pathetic performance. The Seniors then were Sophmores and we made excuses then as well. There is not excuse now. If you are going to be a good team you have to win these games even if they are on the road. You have to win the games you should win.

Fact is we should have won that game. If we are one of the best teams in the conference and we can't handle Longwood then what does that say about the A-Sun? I don't mind if we lose as long as well play to our potential and give the best effort. I don't think in the Longwood, UNCW, N. Florida and S. Virginia game that we gave anywhere close to even a decent effort. If we weren't playing horrible teams in N. Florida and S. Virginia we would not even have a winning record right now. I am not giving up on the season I am just very disappointed that we can't close the deal and win the games we should. That speaks to maturity and Senior leadership. Someone needs to take the team on their back and push through for the win. If we did not get so far behind by starting out so poorly we would be able to win. There are issues there, that is all I am saying.

Agree, you have to win these games.

We appear to play to the level of our competition.
