Now that the rivalry game is over, hopefully both teams will win most of their remaining games. Syracuse AND Cornell would blow both schools out though. 03-wink

i looked at the bowl predictions on espn and they think ucf will beat rutger...........05-stirthepot

we've finished last once, which was during our first year. the undisputed worst team since the split is rutgers. plus with gilchrist, i have no doubt we can do some damage in the big east, remember we blew out a good davidson team and virginia, and narrowly lost to south carolina. we lack depth but our starting lineup is talented, our shooting guard mercer was a former 5 star recruit, jones has been on the all-be team the past 2 years, famous was a highly recruited juco center, and of course gilchrist was a top national recruit.

if gilchrist sticks around next year, we'll be a pretty respectable team. we'll add former huggins recruit ron anderson, a big power forward transfer from kansas st, plus another year of development from jarrid famous and dominque jones.

LOL. You're 11-58 in Big East play. Trust me, you're the worst team in the 30 year history of the Big East. I'd make fun of you more, but one of those 11 wins came against 'Cuse during Donte Greene's ill-fated single season.

Quote:remember we blew out a good davidson team

Dude, Davidson is 1-7 against D1 teams... and you beat them by 7. You know Steph Curry left, right? 03-wink

hey i didn't say we were world beaters but we're not the undisputed worst that goes to rutgers - look up their be record. plus we're good for an upset or two a year (as u know personally 05-mafia). i honestly believe if gilchrist stays healthy we can win some games this year and next, we're quietly building a decent team down here in tampa.

I did. They've had a 7-win BE season since you joined. You're on Year 5 now and have 11 wins to your credit... and the UCF win was your first against a team with a winning D1 record this season.

Seriously though, let's not be antagonistic (probably my bad thus far). I really am rooting for you guys OOC (except in this one instance obviously). You guys have a good team and, if everyone's healthy (big if I know), I'm sure you'll have a breakthru year in Big East play this season. It only takes one great season to turn around a program.

nah, your all right, i like poking fun at ucf from time to time, but i stopped when guys like knightlight would start taking it personally. i know you're only a bandwagoner, and haven't been tainted by taking an actual class there 05-nono

we'll see about this year, i think we'll get our fair share of wins once gilchrist comes back, hopefully we can just weather the storm until than.

Look, I think I'm as big of a fan of USF as you'll find. And I've definitely called a few UCF fans on it when they come on and bait us. But this is freaking ridiculous. Why would a USF fan start this thread? Unless you are clamoring for a response, which is what I suspect was the motivation. This was such stinky bait that I almost feel bad for the UCF fans who have to respond to it.

OK, so USF won a home game over a C-USA team not named Memphis. And didn't cover the spread. If you're happy about it, fine, go revel in the win on a USF board. Why subject the rest of the Big East fans to this? Are we expecting Syracuse, UConn, Louisville, Pitt, Cincinnati or West Virginia fans to be impressed by a four point win? UConn's about to lay the lumber to them in Orlando. The ONLY reason to type this is to promote a flame war.

At the risk of sounding like I'm lecturing anybody, you can't expect more out of others than you're willing to give yourself...

We've been posting basketball results all year. This is a rivalry game so its a big deal for our basketball team. Theres no rivalry in football, but in basketball its a fun series that deserves some mention.

Really?

YOU haven't made one post about USF Basketball ALL SEASON LONG on this board!

That is an 'amazing' fanbase over in ORlando. They hate us so much, and most USF fans, really just don't care....lol

It is good to be on the other side of the track isn't it?
