In 30 years of coaching he's never even coordinated an offense or defense but now he's hired to coordinate an entire program, and one that's in disarray. Sounds like a great plan not shocked Hammrick came up with it. Our definitions of "great" coaching hires are much different.

That's my biggest concern. Holliday was crucial to WVU picking up several high calibur recruits in Florida. WVU now needs a recruiting coordinator, preferably one with ties to the high school coaches in Florida...

One name that comes to mind immediately is former Mountaineer LB, and current Pahokee (FL) HS head coach Damon Cogdell. He's well known and respected among Florida high school coaches, and he also knows the players. If he's willing to move up to the college ranks, and is able to sell WVU to the players in Florida, he just might be the perfect fit to replace Holliday...

Doc and Stew are pretty much the same age. Not sure how one is going to replace the other

Its always been a mystery to me why he didn't get a HCing job before now.He has been a recruiting legend for years and he gets his first head coaching job in his early 50s. Someone must know something that the ordinary fan doesn't know. Anyway, with that being said, this is a good gamble for Marshall to take!

Thats GREAT NEWS for USF, Holliday was a big thorn on our side with recruiting on our state. He will be hard to replace.

Tommy Bowden coming to Morgantown? Are they picking him as Doc's replacement?

Or could he be picked as a replacement for RBs Coack Beatty, who's rumored to be the favorite for UVA OC...

there goes your fl recruiting, it's a shame you were recruiting some major talent beating out the big three for some guys like ivan mcourtney.

we've always recruited well in florida, did before Doc Holliday and we'll continue to do so.

USF fans are just hoping...

Beatty needs to be named Recruiting Coordinator right now. He has solidified the VA recruiting base, and I don't think WVU can afford to lose a strong FL recruiter and a strong VA recruiter in the same year.
