is there any truth that marshall might bring back bob pruett? i can't imagine they'd bring him back given his age and the fact that he put them on probation, but... really??
there might be some truth, but there might still be bad blood between pruett and the admin; however, over on the Marshall boards, there has been a lot of recent talk of Doc Holliday
How about Quin, from Cincy?

HUNTINGTON ? It appears as though Central Michigan’s Butch Jones has accepted the University of Cincinnati head football coaching job, according to sources in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
Jones, who was considered the front-runner for the vacant Marshall University head football coaching position, is expected to be formally announced as UC’s new coach Wednesday.
Central Michigan athletic director Dave Heeke chose not to confirm Jones’ move to Cincinnati, telling The Morning Sun newspaper in Mt. Pleasant, “I would prefer that Cincinnati be the ones to make any comments on the matter.”
ESPN.com’s Joe Schad also was reporting Tuesday night that Jones is headed to Cincinnati.
There seems to be no question that Jones is choosing the UC opportunity over Marshall.
The bigger question is where does that leave Marshall athletic director Mike Hamrick in his search for a replacement for Mark Snyder, who resigned on Nov. 29?
The answer is one of the other five potential candidates Hamrick has interviewed.
“I’m still finishing up today with the last people we need to talk to,” said Hamrick Tuesday. “We’re finishing up the interviews tonight.
“It will be our sixth one.”
Hamrick already has interviewed Florida State assistant coach Rick Trickett. Marshall’s athletic director also is believed to have interviewed Liberty head coach Danny Rocco and West Virginia University assistant Doc Holliday.
Interim Marshall coach Rick Minter also should be added to that list.
Hamrick indicated he would consider the interviewees Wednesday and, then, make a decision on who would be offered the Marshall job.
Marshall still hopes to have the search for a new coach wrapped up by the end of the week.
In the meantime, Marshall is set to resume practice Wednesday afternoon under the direction of Minter.
