Let Grant sign them up for a Home & Home, and after they are 0-3 against UAB, he will be looking for another job. UAT basketball was a tiny blip in the distance on the radar screen before Coach Bartow came to the Southside. Once Coach Bartow got here, the dead bear threw tons of money at their program to build it up to at least on par with the rest of the SEC, except Kentucky of course.

No, the cheating done by the old drunk back in the early 1980's was worthy of Kentucky's normal cheating.

If Grant's superiors will allow a home and home, fine, play them.

If not, screw 'em. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. 58-56, baby!

In all fairness,

Memphis was helped by playing UTK almost every year. I think the help is mutual as in both get a good out of conf game. I actually think it would help both programs mutually to play each other.

FYI, Vanderbilt and UTK play local school in Tennessee all the time, which is the way things should be when it comes to any college athletic sport.

In all fairness, UAB and Gene Bartow built Blazer basketball with a dedication to playing hard, playing by the rules and winning with good players that developed into great players.

When UAT basketball becomes relevant again, we should look into a home and home with them. Maybe we can help little brother.

You have it completely backwards. UT was helped by playing Memphis in basketball. Calipari did not want to play regional schools, but Tennessee wanted to play Memphis in order to get an in roads into the Memphis basketball recruiting. They forced Memphis's hand by tying a football series to the basketball series and Calipari agreed to play UT, although he tried for years to get the game moved to Nashville.

As many of us stated, a home-&-home series would be a good thing for the sport of basketball in Alabama. The contract would not necessarily be every single year, but should be a continuous series of two games, (H-&-H) in the same season over many years. I believe UAB is back on track to become a national power in basketball once again. This time, I hope we can stay in that exotic company for good.
