I don't know when he will be on, or if he has already been on, but I heard he'd be interviewed this morning.

Why do I cringe every time I read that Davis is doing an interview? Is it just me?

It's probably not just you, but that doesn't make you right. Davis is a polished speaker, but he gets comfortable behind the mic and starts talking casually or tongue-in-cheek. It doesn't translate well over the radio. I've seen people raise hell on this board about things he's said in post-game interviews when I was sitting in Bartow Arena watching him and, in person, what he said just wasn't a big deal. He just doesn't keep things very formal. I happen to like that about him as I look forward to his interviews because you're not going to get just "coach speak." He'll rib players, and even himself, openly and talk honestly about things that aren't working and that are.

During the post game interviews, he's actually pretty funny. Like blazr said, his body language, expressions, etc. are a big part of his humor.

Maybe he need to try to be funny during the game instead of getting technical you cost us the game .It is happen at least 3 times sine he coached at UAB .

I don't know...I'm always interested to see whether he will accidentally admit he thinks he's too good for UAB.

he sounded upbeat this morning. Tony Curry that does the Opening Drive with Al Del Greco and Jay Barker did the interview. Tony is a UAB grad and I like it when he interviews our guys. Tony did a good job of hyping up how we were doing with all the looses off last years team and said he would be at the game tomoorrow with his son and that he was pumped up. Davis also talked alot about George Drake and what he has brought to the team this year.
