Buy that cabin up in Allenspark along with a couple horses (a buckskin mare for sentimental reasons and another one or two for the rest of the family riders) to ride through Rocky Mountain National PArk. PAy off the debts and start a nice trust for the kids. Close out the trust and spend the rest of the money foolishly.
And I ride a Bianchi Eros- pretty dated but still nice and a great name.

RE: What would you do ???
Completed the marathon this morning. I am really really really really sore. Kind of think this will be the only one that I will do. It was just plain painful and uncomfortable. At least I can cross it off my list.
The beneficiary of the event was St. Judes Childrens hospital so it was for a good cause. About mile 19 saw a sign that read:
Ashley Jones
- Three tumors
- Two cancers
- 11 surgeries
If she can keep going the least you could do is 26.2 miles!
Kind of put things in perspective. Thank goodness for I BU PRO FEN

You know what I would do if I had a million dollars? I would invest half of it in low risk mutual funds and then take the other half over to my friend Asadulah who works in securities...

Congrats! That takes a lot of hard work - I would NEVER be able to run 26.2 miles haha

Wow. Congrats. That is one tough workout.
When I was younger and ran regularly, I did ONE half-marathon, to really test myself. ONE. At altitude. In the mountains from Georgetown, Colo to Idaho Springs (all downhill but you could hardly tell while running). The worst part (for me) was that it was sponsored by Budweiser and they had FREE BEER for the runners at a tent set up near the finish. My stomach was so in knots, I couldn't even choke down ANY beer. Hell, I could hardly walk to cool down afterwards.
So, I salute you! :ncaabbs:
With a mil, I think I'd buy myself a nice spread (ranch) in the mtns with some of it, along with some horses. I'd sink much of the rest of it into hard assets, like some gold. Just in case.
