RE: Offical Mo. St. thread
I suspect we won't be able to use the 4-guard line up tonight. If we do, their 6-10 guy is going have a career night. Burton and Smith start..?

He'll still probably have close to a career night, every game he is getting better and better!

On paper Mo State is a pretty good team, and their record shows it. Should be a tough night. Hope we pull it out.

The Demozette didn't have Burton starting. Lionel, Solo, Ricky, Alex and Mike. Of course that could change at game time.04-cheers

I like dunks.

I doubt we start that lineup but we may press from the get go and force the action. We may be able to out score them rather than try to stop them.

Just to pick nits, Patterson is the 7 footer that plays a lot and is getting better. For some reason he doesn't like being called a 7 footer, so he's listed at 7' sometimes, and 6-11 others. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that Rhine is the 6-10 kid on our team, and he doesn't play much.

Patterson isn't the quickest kid out there, so if you're undersized, you might try using athleticism to deny post passes.

We are being forced to play small ball this year.

Are the guy that is always holding up the signs at the bears games?

My family had front row seats in the old arena but have been pushed back a bit in the new arena at Springfield.

Marty Prather, the sign guy...he doesn't come much because he was close to the old coach and vowed never to come again if they fired him. Now he only shows up during televised games because he's an attention hog according to many around here.

He is a nice guy though...I reffed his daughter's basketball games for years, and was always polite and nice to us.

Greetings from MSU land. Good luck tonight and best of luck. As Vision and TN mentioned....your arena looks very nice. My son and I road trip at least once a year to watch the Springfield Cards play the travs. Take care and visit our board anytime. Cheers Mania 04-cheers

I was unable to watch or hear the game so as one my favorite tv characters Omar (from The Wire) would say "Please do tell".

I don't know if we are that good yet Scotto. We appreciate your kind words. MSU is headed in the right direction. We handled a pretty good Tulsa team that just pounded Oklahoma State by over 20. What's neat about our team is we are very young. I hope you can come up and visit our arena as well. It's very nice. Take care and good luck the rest of the season. Mania

RE: Offical Mo. St. thread
They were bigger and quicker. We gave up layers due to size. Until we can put a little size on the floor, we will not leverage Mike Smith (probably one of the best pf's in the sbc) and Solo.

We have to have one of the 2 centers sackup and play defense everytime down the floor and we have to have one of the sf's get some minutes.

Hats off to Mo. St. in a "rebuilding year" they look to have some really nice talent and the new coach was 10 times better than Barry (old coach). I was impressed.

He's hard nosed. He gains the kids respect. Our assistants are also very sharp. Zo has the ability to get kids we never could pull into this area. We are not as diverse as many areas. Tough to sell kids from Little Rock, KC, or St. Louis when Hinson was here. Just a fact. We really are happy to have him. Defense first or you don't play.
