J J Mann, our signee from the early signing period, has been the leading scorer for Hargrave Military Academy for the last two games. This is a post graduate team he is on which is 10-0. Mann had 20 points and 3 steals and followed the next night with 16 points and 4 steals.

This is significant considering he is playing on the same team with Lorenzo Brown (NC State signee), Mardracus Wade (Arkansas), Isaiah Epps (Pitt), and Shawn Kemp (Auburn).

I'm looking forward to seeing him wear a Bruin uniform. As a 6-6 guard, he will hard to defend.

Last night his Hargrave team faced off with the Virginia Tech JV squad and he dropped another 15 points with 5 rebounds. They had 6 players sign during the early signing period, and regularly have every player on on their Post Grad roster playing NCAA ball after they leave. That said, he is playing good ball against top notch competition...

Next year we will have Mann and Blake Jenkins playing as freshman, plus I believe we have 1 scholarship available.

I love the fact that he is playing with top talent and against teams that are better than average high school competition.

By the way, I just found out that we have a player from Hendersonville, TN that plans to walk on. I don't expect too much from a walk-on, but he seems to be off to a good start. His name is Reese Chamberlain, a 6-1 point guard from Beech High School. He is currently averaging 20+ points per game. Beech is 2 miles from my house, so I plan to take in a couple of games this year and check him out.

J J Mann led Hargrave against Lee Academy in the Fork Union Invitational with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Hargrave is now 13-0. Their next game is against Patrick Henry Community College on Tuesday, December 15.

Hargrave was led by JJ Mann with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Mardracus Wade scored 21 points and had 4 steals. Lorenzo Brown scored 19 points and had a team high 13 assists. Jarvis Davis and Colten Christian both scored 12 points.

Hargrave improves to 14-0

JJ Mann led Hargrave with 20 points and 5 assists. Hargrave is now 16-0 on the season.

This looks like a promising recruit.

JJ is still at it. He scored 15 against VA Western CC. A couple of days later, he scored 25 points with 6 rebounds against Pfeiffer University. His team, Hargrave, is now 19-0.

I can't wait to see him in a Bruin uniform.
