Details sound strange and a bit unclear from what I've heard. But it sounds like a car accident - possibly on or near his own property.

I'm sure that further reporting will shed some light on it. What they did say is drugs and/or alcohol not a factor.

Ummm, ok. I smell a group of people getting together to get their story aligned.

Now the latest on ESPN is that Tiger was treated for facial lacerations and has already been released from the hospital.

I should know better than rely on early reports. Something weird about this story.

Really weird, hopefully it's nothing and they blew it out of proportion.

Hit a fire hydrant outside his driveway and then hit a tree. Air bags did not deploy so it was relatively slow.

Rumor has it Tiger has a lady friend and his soon to be ex has anger control issues. She's going to rip him a new one in court!

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

We're also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.

I thought Michael Jackson's Dr. was banned from writing prescriptions!

'Prescription pain medicine'? The whole story sounds fishier and fishier the more you read about it.
