Dog Bone Stickers vs. Names
So, something as individual as giving "atta-boy" bone stickers for the helmet is OK (the very opposite of the team mentality) but simply putting names on uniforms isn't okay? How stupid. Get rid of the stickers and please put names on the back of the uniforms. Thanks!

I think you have to look at how you earn a sticker though.

Some are for team related things.

Although I think the stickers are dumb if you just let the players throw them where ever they want. It looks cheap.

You play for the name on the front not the back. Pick up a program if you need to know a guys name.

Very fan friendly. So, why do they need the stupid dog bones then?

Dog bones are fine. I don't think they should let the players put them wherever they want though. Names on Jerseys would be really nice for the fans, because outside of you're most important players ( starting QB, RB, maybe WR), I have no clue who's who on the field most of the time.

I agree 100%. In today's game I noticed players having them on the front of their helmets in a "V" pattern - it's ridiculous looking and amateurish (yes, I know they are amateurs, but they don't have to look like morons).

Agree! I never know who's who except for the "main" guys. Don't most of the MAC teams have names on jerseys now? Plus,
Since the majority of our games are televised, having player's names on jerseys just looks better and classier to me. I have seen high school teams on TV with their names on their jerseys!
Time to start working on this for next season.

There are those who genuinely believe putting names on jerseys puts an "I" in T E A M.

I'm one of those throwbacks.

There is no I in team. But there is an I in win and championship.

So the NFL shouldn't have names on jerseys either???
I don't see how having your name on your jersey puts an "I" in TEAM. Maybe they should stop printing the game day programs with the player's names next to their jersey numbers too. Oh - and the announcers maybe shouldn't announce the player's names when they make a tackle or a sack or whatever. That way they can remain completely anonymous. No possibility of any "I" in there.
