RE: Basketball recruiting question
Speaking of recruits...anyone looked at how our former commit Ronnie Moss, who went with JC, has done?!?! Averaging 19.1 pts, 3.4 Rebs, and 7.1 Ast. Not to mention 1 steal per game and shooting nearly 44% from 3pt range. Makes me sick!

I hope those two mentioned in the article are ready to be enemies instead of friends!

RE: Basketball recruiting question
I'm assuming the opponent was pretty weak, but 8 blocked shots isn't bad.

Egner’s 27 points power Polar Bears

JACKSON 93, CARROLLTON 52 Josh Egner poured in 27 points and grabbed five rebounds as the host Polar Bears pounced on Carrollton.

Mark Henniger added 19 points, eight blocked shots and six rebounds for Jackson. Brad DuPont had 16 points, seven assists and five rebounds as Carrollton was outscored, 54-28, in the first half.

Chris Ericksen led Carrollton with 23 points. Kristian Cross added 12 points and eight rebounds.

RE: Basketball recruiting question
Another good game for signee Henniger.

SAN DIEGO — .Jackson senior Mark Henniger poured in 34 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as the Polar Bears boys basketball team defeated Mount Si (Wash.), 70-66, in overtime Monday afternoon in the opening round of the San Diego Surf ‘N’ Slam Classic at Mission Bay High School.

“Mark played well,” Jackson head coach Mike Fuline said. “He really stepped up in the first half. He rebounded well and he shot well around the rim.”

Those games were all out in Ca. right? Maybe it'll get him a little national recognition. Good thing we have that signature.

RE: Basketball recruiting question
Right, anti-zip. In San Diego. Henniger's team, Jackson, finished second. Agree, I suspect he would be more in demand than he was went Kent State got him to commit early.

RE: Basketball recruiting question
Henniger is currently averaging 21.8 ppg and 9.4 rpg. His shooting percentage is 63.8%. I am well aware that HS stats must be taken with several grains of salt, but Henniger does play in a very strong large-school basketball league and his team plays a strong schedule. So, his stats are more impressive than a tall player's who plays a suspect schedule.

RE: Basketball recruiting question
On the other hand, this Kent State signee's stats seem underwhelming. Of course, he may have injury problems?

Yes, his minutes seem to be way down for Division 1 recruit. Maybe there are health concerns?

RE: Basketball recruiting question
I wouldn't trust those stats at all. To start out with the first 4 games listed are acctually just 2 games entered twice. Also I added up his teammates points and I comes out to 48.3 ppg for the whole team. However, based on the scores they provide for the games his team averages 73.4 ppg. Not to mention if you accually calculate his average based off the scores provided it's not 4.5 ppg but 6.1.

That site seems to have a flaw. Jordan Sibert an OSU recruit and the #37 player on rivals is listed as averaging 12.8 ppg on there while Griffin McKenzie rivals #115 a Xavier commit is said to be averaging 7.7ppg. So I wouldn't worry about that at all.

Good points, anti-zip. It does seem a rather shoddy site.

I watched Mentor play Euclid last Friday. Cole Krizancic reminds me a lot of Trevor Huffman. The kid is fearless. I am not sure if he is D1 material, but maybe he sneaks into a Flashes uni too.

Thank you. I've known this kid since he was little. All hes ever done is basketball and he has a basketball IQ thats unlimited. If he was like 3 or 4 inches taller he would have schools all over him.
