As fast and strong as MSU is, UT is in this game. UT just needs to hit some shots.

You have to like the fight in the Rockets. Down by only 7 to the #2 team in the country at the half, on the road. Let's come out guns blazing in the second half!!!

They gotta come out in the 2nd half like they did against Cincinnati but maintain a steady pace of offense. Mo is playing very well, quit having Salter playing so much let Mo get some PT. Defense looks allitle better not much though. This team has got tallent very happy with the effort in the last 4 Minutes.Michigan State has VERY good Defense. In the 2nd half im looking for the rockets to drive and dish off to big guys or spot a open shooter, we can drive its just the driver isnt generally finishing

43-30 With 15:30 Left in the 2nd. Offense comes out very flat, but give credit to a good MSU defense

If there is anything called a good loss this is one of them. They hung around with the number 2 team in the country who had their starters in for 90% of the game. I hope the team has learned a lot tonight. We are not going to be a push over when it comes to MAC play.

Agreed. Proud of this team and if they continue the same effort throughout the season, we may surprise some teams

RE: Toledo At MSU(2)
Great 2nd half by Stephan. Toledo looked good they didnt give up. I am looking forward to the year and seeing how this team grows it will be interesting to see if they can bring the same momentum into every game. Jake was off tonight, Dressler had some good and bad looking shots overall 8 Points. Mo had a great first half ruined it by not playing smart in the 2nd half finished with 8 points 10 rebounds, would have had a double double if Cross wouldnt have played Ian so much. Ian is really struggling he had a few good defensive series but man he is the deffinition of a late find for a recruit. Larry had a Decent game I would like to see more aggressive plays from him. Overall Im looking for this team to win 2 games @ the tourny in Philly then come back for 5 home games. Come on people this can be a .500 team in the MAC WEST.

RE: Toledo At MSU(2)
i'm not ready to get excited about a .500 team in the west. but there were some positives.
albrecht looks more and more like the real deal. the nice thing is he has a couple dimensions to his game. he's got a pure shot and he's got quickness w the dribble. he hasn't quite added a drive game and he gives the ball up a bit but he's fun to watch. it's tough inside. anyijong plays tall on offense but he's going up against some of the best widebodies in the nation in the past couple games. molo will have his moments. he's got pretty good hands and he's not soft, but it would be nice to have his as our big off the bench instead of our starting pf. salter is wasted minutes, this has always been obvious, he plays about 6-6, and he's slow. watch the film he gets beat up court , he reacts slow in the halfcourt defense... dressler needs a lot of work-footwork, film work, workouts - might be a good team next season

Is this a MoLo with whom I'm not familiar? He's certainly improved since his freshman year but pretty good? I cringe when it goes inside to him.
Not sure about Salter- when he blew by Bowdry for that big dunk last year he looked like an athletic, quick big with the ability to put the ball on the floor. Now his confidence seems affected although I give him way more credit than most of the rest of the board. REminds me of a slightly better Craig Rogers at this point- Rogers was awful early on but was a tough defender and reliable inside presence as a senior.

and yeah thats about the only thing salter has done in his career have one sick dunk. He always seems to be lost on the court. Both Justin and Mo have gotten so much better since there freshman year good thing though because they were bad

I went to this game on friday. I have to tell you that one big thing that I noticed between this Cross team and the former Joplin teams is the way the team holds itself. What I mean is that they seem to pick each other up, they seem to much closer. Although they lost to a much superior team they never quit. The effort and hustle was very impressive. The body language of the team was very improved. I think Cross is bringing in quality across the board. Something that Joplin took alot of chances on. The MSU fans also had only positive things to say about Toledo and how hard they play. They knew Toledo was young and one fan even said " They get a few big guys and two years from now they could be a dominate mid-major." I look forward to the future with Cross at the Helm!

Some tougher defense and they'll start to remind me some of Nick's teams.
