The NU Cats' team expected to be its best is already facing serious losses off the court.

Mr. Wildcat Teddy Greenstein 's column in trib this morning - not yet available online- reports:

Coble gone for season.

Jeff Ryan's season lasted 14 minutes & done for 09/10.

Senior guard Nash wearing a heart monitor for racing heart and heavy breathing during drills.

Starting to look more like NIU 2007 football season for Carmody.

Yea its ashame Ryan tore his ACL. At the game it didn't look like his knee went horribly the wrong way, so i was surprised it was a tear.

Tough tough break for NW. I was really rooting for them to make The Dance this year, but the NIT seems like a more realistic goal now.

At least they should have them both back for next year.
