I'm BACK! Go Belmont!
Hey guys, it has a VERY long time since my last post. Since then I've joined the Air Force and am currently training for weather down here in Mississippi. Can't wait to talk ASUN bball with you folks this year and hopefully the conference will notch some good OOC wins....Belmont's off to a good start with beating Portland State:)

Anywho, basketball is here!! I'll be in Nashville on the 19th for the EIU game. Hopefully the new boys continue to impress.

Goldfinger, I don't really know you, and it may scare me if I actually did (HA!), but I feel that our mutual hate for David Lipscomb makes us brothers. I greatly respect your passionate dislike for David Loser U, and their grammatically incorrect mascot name (the plural of Bison IS Bison for goodness sakes...ASun unite in ridicule of the stupidity right on their chests!).

Good day.

Bruin,

I have zero tolerance for DAVID lipscomb.

Just a thought...We're supposed to believe that they are expert translators of the bible, better than all other "flawed and hypocrite brands of Christianity", but they don't know that the word "Bison" is both plural and singular?

You will love to hear this then. Went to the Vandy-DLU game last night. The papers are giving DLU a lot of credit for "hanging around" in a blowout loss where Vandy played an 11 player rotation, limiting minutes for their top guns.

Anyway, you know those hairbands that are popular in women's basketball right now? The ones that are near their foreheads and keep their hair slicked back and out of their faces? DLU had two...YES TWO...of their men's basketball players wearing those last night. Slater was one of them, the little punk! I laughed, and laughed, and laughed.....

Wait...I'm not familiar with the hairbands you speak of...primarily b/c I don't watch womens basketball and won't. You're saying these hairbands are different from the headband that Mike Smith wears?

Oh yes. Mike Smith and many men's basketball players wear those thick, elastic headbands/sweatbands designed to keep sweat out of your eyes (especially when you have very short hair). These are commone for the men.

The ones that girls and DLU men's players wear are thin and go more up on your head and the sole purpose is to keep your hair matted down and from falling into your face. Basically it is like a ponytail holder that goes all the way around your head, and I have only seen girls wear it....until I see two DLU chumps wearing them. The Vandy fans were letting them have it!

You got me on the women's hoops!

I really hope they wear them all year. I can't imagine they will after getting ridiculed at Vanderbilt...but my god I hope they let me have my chance to make fun of them.

Quite a striking resemblance. Also interesting that this "man" has a purple headband, notice how it is used not to keep sweat from getting in his face but to keep his long flowing locks from blocking his vision...

I just want to remind everyone that TWO of their players were wearing them. Never seen it before with men. Never.

That's the most embarrassing thing i've ever seen a male wear in my life. Lipscomb should be made to forfeit the season and the members of the team wearing those be made to endure some form of public humiliation (other than wearing women's clothing in public, they've already done that).

Next game that guy should add a hair net and apron to really nail down the "short order cook" look.
