I really wasn't surprised we lost the game.
In fact, I mentioned that in a recent post. Our guys are totally out of sync right now. There were bright spots, but there is still a little too much "Me, Me, Me" right now. We still don't pass the ball like most good teams. We tend to dribble too much out front, and wait forever to start our offense. We have some players who can shoot the ball, but as usual the ball isn't being distributed around quickly enough to get an open shot.

Our inside players are going to have to learn to play some without fouling. Derrick had four fouls in five minutes of playing time. Burton got in early foul trouble. And I think Mike had several fouls. I'll want to see the stats, but I never saw so many fouls called. I don't know if the officials were being overly whistle conscious, or the players on both team were actually committing all those fouls.

Looking on the bright side....Actually there was really no bright side tonight as a team. But there were individuals who showed promise, and we'll get better. I don't expect us to beat Ole Miss, but I think we could play them better than most would expect after tonight's performance. We all knew the early season would probably be tough, so let's just not get down too much. Let the games begin.04-cheers
