College Football Saturday
Lots of good games today.

WMU vs. MSU just started. Who do you root for in this game? 99% of the time I'd root for the MAC team, but wait. If WMU gets to 7 wins we could be competing with them for a bowl bid. We probably want MSU to get to at least 6 wins to have a better chance for the Big Ten to fill the Pizza Bowl.

That said, MSU just went up 7-0. 03-melodramatic

I am keeping my eye on Iowa... not sure if I want them to lose, or get to a BCS game and get completely destroyed big ten style.

Closet Iowa fan here, always exciting games to watch...I hope they run the board....it'll be nice for someone else besides OSU and Penn St. to win the big ten

Looks like Iowa's season is over. Stanzi looks to be out. They will lose this game to NW.

Stanzi is not that good. Iowa wins because of their defense.

True. Announcers said he threw 4 picks in a quarter last week?

Even if Iowa wins this week, no way they go into Columbus and come out with a W.

He threw 5 in the first 3 quarters and then the 4th quarter he looked like Drew Brees and got like 200passing yards to bring Iowa back.

The big ten is so bad. I hope Iowa goes to a BCS bowl so that I can put $500 on whoever they play.

Then what does that make the MAC? We're 2-12 against the Big Ten this year.

RE: College Football Saturday
Iowa is possibly the worst 9-0 team of all time. It's hard to knock them too much though... gotta give credit where credit is due. They win games plain and simple.

Penn State is the only Big Ten team that can hang with the other BCS Big Boys but they likely blew that chance by losing to Iowa earlier in the season.

HMM I agree Ohio State will crush Iowa.

Do you really have to ask? the MAC is at best the second worst conference in IAA

Another dilemma.

Michigan trails Purdue 31-30. If Michigan loses today, they'll finish 5-7 (Wisconsin and Ohio State left). Do you want Michigan to win to increase the chances the Big Ten can fill Detroit? Or do you want Purdue to win to potentially open up another bowl spot for the MAC?

Less teams that are bowl eligible the better. Not to mention a Purdue win increases our SOS.

Agree. And it makes our win against Purdue look a little better. However, we could very well end up bowling in Detroit. I'd rather play a Big Ten team than dirty leftovers from the Sun Belt.
