Larry Bird to visit Louisville?
"Larry Bird played Denny Crum in HORSE. If Crum won, Bird would visit Louisville. Bird hit a 20-foot bomb and did not visit Louisville."

Anyone else heard this story?

According to Dave Telep (Scout) tweet:

Quote:Larry Bird played Denny Crum in HORSE. If Crum won, Bird would visit Louisville. Bird hit a 20-foot bomb and did not visit Louisville.

That was forwarded via email to me, Telep must have been where he got it.

According to "Larry Bird:An Indiana Legend" by the Indianapolis star the story is true, but facts a little different.

Its wasn't 1 20 foot shot, it was 5. And they were from 40 feet!

I am a pretty good shooter but I don't think I would bet anything in a game of horse with Larry Bird.

I've heard that story, not sure what the distances of the shots were, but I'd heard it was a story that Denny Crum himself liked to tell.

Anyone see Larry and Magic on the Tonight show? Larry's only regret was not winning the NC for Ind State. He got teary talking about it. I think Magic thought he was joking...
