How often do you hear about an entire crew of officials being suspended?
I'm guessing that's it's been done before, but I don't recall it happening in any sport(baseball, football and basketball). I thought there were two bad calls down the stretch against the pigs, although the pass interference call was one that could have gone either way. As all of you know, pass interference is a penalty that could go either way many times. The position of the official viewing the play comes into play. From another viewpoint, it might not look the way it was called, but the official looking at it from another angle might see something others don't.
What gets me is, the pig fans and pig press have continued to harp on this for almost a week now. I don't know how many games I've watched where the pigs benefited from so called "bogus" calls.
Talk about suspending whole crews, the crew that officiated the pig-ASU basketball game in the NIT many years ago, perhaps should have been banned for life. That was one case where there wasn't much doubt with anyone who saw it(if they'd admit it), that the game was stolen from ASU.
I've watched numerous games where I thought the Trojans benefited from questionable calls, and other games where I thought they got screwed. If you've ever done it, and I'm sure most of us have umpired, or officiated a sporting event at some level, even if it was Little League. You get most of the calls right, but every now and then, you miss or blow a call or two. I'm guessing that it's rare when the officials are intentionally cheating on calls.

It's hard for me to believe that ref's intentionally cheat. Sure they make bad calls. I've always viewed that as part of the game. Players make mistakes, refs make mistakes. If I truly believed refs were cheating, I'm not sure I could continue to follow the sports I do. It wouldn't be much different from professional wrestling.

I guess the Hog fans weren't paranoid after all. It's got to be pretty bad for the league office to suspend an entire crew. This same crew screwed up the Georgia game the week before if I remember correctly.
I'm not saying they cheated. Maybe they're just incompetent.
