Problem is that sometimes the best players aren't the best people. Especially those that come from lousy backgrounds. People can't help the circumstances they are born into, but colleges don't have to recruit those type of athletes. But winning is the name of the game, so people are willing to take a chance on bad apples if they are good enough players to help them. We've been pretty lucky, or maybe it's not luck, for the most part, iin recruiting players with good character. If they don't have it, they're usually gone. One thing I really admire about Steve is that he seems to run a tight ship and won't put up with unacceptable behavior. As Pappy has said many times, he's proud of our young men representing our university.04-cheers
