I heard they tell you to fire all your American workers and move the business to China and hire workers there at $.25/hour in order to maximize the companies profits.

Yep.

It's actually a pretty interesting class. I'm trying to think of the professors name but as I recall everyone passed that made at least the minimum effort...it was slotves or something...He was from the Dakotas or something and talked with a fairly heavy northern accent.

Yeah they are fairly difficult, however the grading scale is a joke. In order to get a D or F you would have to miss a test.

And if I recall most of his tests are open note.

Moving business overseas also means you avoid the higher corporate tax rates in this new era of hope and change, as well as the new cap- and-trade regulations, and labor unions.

RE: Econ Class
Any econ class you take at northern you won't be able to understand what your teacher is saying 90% of the time.

The college of business won't even accept the NIU's econ major as part of their curriculum it's so bad.

Majoring in econ is easy, because you essentially take the same couple classes over and over again until you get your degree. Usually where failed COB majors end up if they don't do the coms route.

I'm not sure any one in the country does. So it's not an exclusively NIU thing.

The thing with econ majors is that you can't go into it thinking you are going to be a "economist" you have to have a plan. I took my B.S. in Economics (with a 3.9...it's easy as hell) went into real estate and love it...and I'm working (thank goodness for short sales!)

I did a short stop as an intern at WKSC FM and that was just sales baloney.

The point is, any degree is worthless if you don't have a plan to go with it.

Which is why this country is falling apart. Btw, most big corps don't pay much, if anything in taxes so don't try to give me that BS. With all the deductions they pay nowhere that "high tax rate" you righties say they do. It comes down to the need to have exorbitant profits and paying CEO's hundreds of millions(or billions) of dollars.

Or you can decide to collect the taxes that billionaire lefties like George Soros, or lefty millionaires such as Michael Moore/Hollywood actor/actresses find a way not to pay their "fair share".

Or you can be Al Gore. Get goverment loans to build a $90k sports car that is green and have it built by a foreign company. Hey Republican and Democrats, it is all about the money. Gore has saddled his investments in the "Green" arena. He just wants to make huge money.
