Buckeye State
How many saw the Buckeye State screen on the scoreboard Saturday night. The UC in Buckeye was the UC logo. Just happened to catch it quickly out of the corner of my eye once (I am in the Lair so don't look back at the scoreboard too much).

Thought it was freaking awesome and really want a T-Shirt with that on it. Trying to find it online so I can post it.

Did anyone notice that the band during halftime played Beautiful Ohio and Down By The Ohio, two songs that Ohio State plays in thier fight song rotation.

Did anyone else notice that Terrelle Pryor would be second string in our "Wildcat" Offense?

I added it to my facebook page earlier. Love it. Can't wait for the O$U hate to come in.

Honestly...it's a funny little sign, but kind of disturbing the university put it up on the scoreboard. I could see a fan doing it...but the school? Just really screams little brother complex to me. Reminds me of the long-time Xavier cry "You can't spell sUCks without UC". Petty...we should just ignore them.

RE: Buckeye State
The Buckeye State reference I believe was for the song selction by the combined bands during halftime. "Beautiful Ohio", "Down By The Ohio", and "Cincinnati, Ohio" were the songs played. The first two are part of the playlist at Ohio State, hence the addition of the Cheer Cincinnati bars. Back in 2002 the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Band created a special version of the Ohio State Fight Song, "Across The Field" with the additon of a view bars of Cheer Cincinnati in it. You can find this on the 2002 UC Bearcat Band Cd. This has less to do with a little brother complex and more to do with the marching bands.

I didn't see the sign at the game, only in the context it's been presented here. If it was done by the band to represent their playlist...that's cool.

Thanks for that. I really didn't get the reference. As I looked at it, it actually seemed like it might be a way of trying to celebrate both programs rather than a slam at OSU. Sounds like that was close to the situation.

Just uploaded it....for $75 bucks in cost, we can have fifty 3x10 bumper/window stickers to hand out at the fresno tailgate. Someone needs to print up about 1000 - have a feeling you could sell them out pretty quickly.

You would also have a lawsuit headed your way from UC for using official logo for your own profit. Getting them made for your own use is one thing, selling them is another.
