SE Missouri State at #23 Cincinnati
Mardy Gilyard just returned a punt for a touchdown, 7-0 Bearcats right off the bat! Also, I believe that game is a sellout, but the attendance hasn't been officially announced.

RE: SE Missouri State at #23 Cincinnati
I was at the SE Missouri State/Cincinnati game back in 2007 and I think there was 22,000 people there. The UC announcers said that Kelly was running around the stadium excited and bragging about the sellout. He said he couldn't believe how the building was rocking. He said that he went to the tailgate areas and it was packed, the halls were packed, and the stadium was packed prior to the game. That is a HUGE step towards becoming a power, this is stuff that teams like Ohio State and Texas and Michigan and West Virginia and Florida do, sellout, or at least heavily pack the stadium for games against inferior opponents as well as big time opponents.

I'd say it's time to give the 2nd team offense some game experience...

Gilyard has scored via punt return, run, and catch so far.

That's a dangerous weapon. Gilyard should be declared illegal in some instances. Allowing him to embarrass somebody so rediculously could ruin their psyche for the rest of their lives...

No question, Gilyard is a stud. The broadcasters are saying that Pike is probably done for the night so the 2nd team will get an entire half of work and experience heading into next week's game against #24 Oregon State.

A redshirt running back for the Bearcats (Williams) just returned a kick 102 yards for a touchdown to start the 2nd half. Wow.

Cincinnati pretty good so far this year. They are really kicking some butt the first two weeks.
