Got to give Fraser credit. He played good enough to win. When he went down, our offense also went completely south. Man we just can't get a break in those games.

I do want to say that Coach Stewart is nothing but a class act! He could have ran up the score at the end and chose not to do so.

ECU's biggest weakness is at the linebacker position, which allowed your QB to scramble all over the field. On offense, we have a QB with a weak arm and not enough speed and quickness to scare any defense. Do you want to trade QB's?
I'll stick with Jarrett Brown over Pinkney any day. However, the funny thing is that there were rumors not long ago that Geno Smith might be good enough to unseat Brown as the starter before the season was up...
However, since we have yet to see Smith in action, even though the season is 2 weeks old now, the chances of that actually happening have diminished considerably...

ECU only had 63 yards rushing, and 238 total yards. They got 3 WVU turnovers, and only got 10 points out of 'em. Plus, Jarrett Brown had career highs in both rushing and passing yardage, and threw 4 TDs, to go along with his INT, and WVU gained over 500 yards total offense. Pinkney completed less than half his passes for 175 yards, with a TD and INT...
It wasn't a great game. But it'll do the job. All the Mountaineers need to do is cut down on stupid mistakes. They didn't have 3 plays in a row without a penalty until the 2nd quarter. That, coupled with the early turnovers, could have spelled disaster. But WVU made all those early mistakes, and still beat a good team. I'd say it was a winning performance all around...
sorry bit don't agree w/ you we should'nt be lowering our standards here. wv was top 10 till stew came around, for the beast flagship it's not good enough.........
-- I think you mean that WVU was Top 10 when White/Slaton where in the house, but there gone now. Today, the WVU offense put up 500 yrds on a defense that dominated us last yr with a new QB and four new O-lineman. WVU has a "chance" to be good if the mistakes/injuries are limited....I'm not the biggest Stew guy but he is 12-4 in his time as HC and that is pretty damn good given the coaching transitions/installing the new offense.
What do you think Louisville fans would give for a 12-4 in Krags first 16 games??

RE: ECU-WV
I'm not much worried about WVU not being respected enough to be ranked. As long as we take care of business on the field, that respect will come. If you'll remember, RichRod wasn't so respected until after the Sugar Bowl, and 3 very talented first year offensive starters for the Mountaineers...
