Was that right after or right before their national championship?

Interesting that Jeff said we choose the nonDI teams we did because they were willing to play on the dates we wanted. We play St. Gregory's the day after Tulsa. Did really want the schedule like that? Who knows, maybe we did. However, I don't think the argument that it prepares us for conference play flies. I doubt those games in mid-November will have any effect on what we do in March.

Sorry about that. I just noticed that the whole schedule isn't on this post. Just goes to Jan. 16, unless we are playing a short season.

Agreed. Those games won't have much effect on what we do in March or at any other time. My guess is that it was getting late and they didn't want to try to run down another opponent, St. Gregory's had other commitments that wouldn't allow them to move the game from Wednesday, and the pacement of the game at Tulsa on Tuesday afternoon (with National ESPN exposure) didn't give them that much pause about turning around and playing a team like St. Gregory's the next night at home. One benefit to playing a game like St. Gregory's at that time that didn't occur to me until I saw the schedule today- they may really need a get well, feel good, beat the crap out of somebody game right about then.
