"Fred" MacMurray State again highlights ASU schedule
They also play Central Baptist out of Conway. I guess I shouldn't make fun of their schedule until I see how many nonDI teams we play. If we do it let's, at least, play Harding who always brings a nice crowd to the Rock (since I'm sure playing UAM is out of the question).

What happened to playing UAPB or UCA?

I'm all for it. Surprisingly no one asked me.

We must have adopted a no in-state policy.

How ironic.

Sorry, I didn't even think about UCA or UAPB. They are nothing to me...

...honestly I'd LOVE to play one or both teams.

Well, if that's a case we obviously have no right to criticize your alma mater. It also appears that ASU avoids UAPB and UCA. This is even more ironic since they are a heck of a lot more vocal in their desire to play UAF than we are. I really don't think most UALR fans care a whole lot about it at this point. However, it would have been fun if the NIT matched us up several years ago.

I don't know if I'm a minority or not, but I care a LOT about playing UAF. I care enough, in fact, to give ASU fans a serious run for their money.

I wouldn't say I don't care, I just don't spend a lot of time worrying about it anymore. I think it would have been great if the WNIT matched us up last year. I know Scotto will think I'm a crazy conspiracy theorist, but I tend to believe UAF but some pressure on the WNIT not to match us up (especially after their experience at ASU a few years ago). We weren't even in the same bracket. It just seems hard to believe that the WNIT, which is a for-profit tournament, wouldn't match-up the two teams that would likely draw the biggest crowd of the whole tournament.

Not on that account. We are as chicken as they are.

Crazy or not, I think MJS might be right. On the other subject, we used to play UAPB and UCA with some regularity. Those games were pretty much under prior administrations however.

If this administration has adopted a "no play" UAPB and UCA policy then we would be just as big of "cluckers" and "chicken***ts" as the school in Northwest Arkansas. And to make such a bad policy worse, since I'm pretty sure both of those schools would agree to play us, if we get one or two absolutely worthless non-D-I games like ASU has scheduled instead of Division I games against UCA and/or UAPB, we are just getting screwed as fans and season ticket holders because of somebody's ego.

We play an in-state team twice every year. Arkansas plays an in-state team once every 25 years.
