Alright, I maybe completely be over-analyzing this but, doesn't it seem odd that Curry has publicly praised guys like Parker Stevens and Travis Evans as being emerging leaders of this team, and not said anything about Drew Little so far? Shouldn't our QB and arguably the most coveted player be the one Curry regards as the biggest leader? The reason why I'm posing these questions is because I heard from a very good source at the first football practice that Drew Little is apparently a "wild child." He does things his own way and apparently has a problem with authority. To me, that kind of attitude does not seem something that would mesh well with an old school guy like Curry.

If they are at odds now, this could have a big impact on the team before we ever have our first game. Curry to me seems the type of coach who is willing to sacrifice the guy who fits the system over the guy with talent. Again, I might be completely over-scrutinizing this, but with the information given to me about Little and the fact that Curry hasn't been praising him makes me somewhat worried.

But, if Little is bucking Curry, that would be the worst mistake of his life. At the end of the day, Little needs Curry more than Curry needs Little. He may be the local boy, but he needs to know we have other good qb recruits. I really hope this is an exagerration.

I warned earlier on the advertisement overload board about the potential harzard of putting Little on a pedestal and he does not get the starting position.

This is ridiculous. The last time I checked there are about 70 players on this team. Just because Curry didn't mention Drew doesn't mean anything. Does this mean the other 67 players are at odds with Curry too? Maybe he just wants to show some other guys some love. There will be other leaders besides just the QB.

Like I said, I am probably waaay over-analyzing this and I'm glad to hear you think my concerns are unsubstantiated. I've only been to the very first practice the team had so I don't know how the dynamic has been between the coaches and players since then. All I can go by is online articles and I just haven't seen much praise for Little from Curry lately, but as gsu football fan stated, Curry probably wants to acknowledge other players that are stepping up, which makes prefect sense to me. I can't even tell you how impressed I was watching the interviews with Travis Evans and Parker Stevens. They seem like such outstanding young men with great character -- everything a coach could want from young football payers. I really hope they keep adding interviews with other players so that Panther fans can get to know them better. Man, is it September 2nd, 2010 yet?
