Must win games for the Big East
Week 1
Minnesota @ Syracuse

Week 2
Syracuse @ Penn St
North Carolina @ UConn
Pitt @ Buffalo

Week 3
Navy @ Pitt
WVU @ Auburn
Cincinnati @ Oregon St
UConn @ Baylor
Loiusville @ Kentucky
Northwestern @ Syracuse

Week 4
Loiusville @ Utah
Cincinnati @ Fresno St
USF @ FSU
Pitt @ NC St
Rutgers @ Maryland

Week 5
Colorado @ WVU

Week 11
Notre Dame @ Pitt

Week 12
UConn @ Notre Dame

Week 13
Miami(FL) @ USF
Illinois @ Cincinnati

I didn't realize how tough Syracuse's nonconference slate was until I did this. They face Minnesota at home, then off to Penn St then home to face Northwestern. If they find a way to come out of that 2-1 I'll be one happy Big East fan unless Pitt finds a way to lose to Buffalo and there is that possibility of losing to the Bulls.

RE: Must win games for the Big East
Actually Fresno State is coming to Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati. Also, Cincinnati's non-conference schedule is also brutal. Fresno is almost always a national player, Illinois comes to Nippert and Cincinnati goes to Oregon State who has been a Top 25 team the last few years, has beaten USC, and came within one home win against rival Oregon have winning the Pac-10 title and going to the Rose Bowl.

UCONN also play at OHIO U on 9/5/09. Remember Pitt lost there a few years ago. UCONN's OOC is not cake walk either.

@ Ohio U (They took Ohio State down the wire last year)
UNC (ranked)
@ Baylor (no cakewalk. Baylor has a great QB)
@ ND (ranked)

That's a tough OOC schedule. CUSE has it very tough as well. I just hope Cuse can win a few of those.

I think we're in trouble if any of the Syracuse OOC games is a 'must win' game. They didn't exactly sign up for an easy slate...

It's becoming very possible that UC can win all five of its OOC games. Recently, Oregon State and Illinois have each suffered very key injuries (out-for-the-sesaon variety).

Obviously, I'd prefer not to rely on that to enhance my team's chances of winning.

Watch out for Fresno State. That's a tough place to win as the Bearcats have to travel across the country.

RE: Must win games for the Big East
I think the Illinois v. UC game is one of the most intriguing OOC games in the BE this season. That would be a huge win for the Bearcats.

There are some very touch OOC schedules this season, and I hope that all the BE teams do well. I think Syracuse may surprise some people this year.

The BEast is going to win more than a few games people outside the conference won't expect...

I hope Syracuse surprises some people. But I'm going to wait and see what kind of team is presented before making any bold predictions...

I'm sorry but Louisville is going to lose those games this year, because of Kragthorpe's coaching.
