As far as I know, every team in the Sun Belt has a jumbotron. Troy, UNT, FIU, FAU, ULL, MT, WKU, and ASU have one. Not sure about ULM, haven't seen any pictures, but I read they had one installed in 1998. So what programs can you name?

it always just looked like an old scoreboard to me. and besides it's not where you have been its where you are going and Tech has the biggest in the WAC and the belt. Now its time for some of you to play catch up. ULL soon will

It took you eight years to catch up to where ASU was at in video technology and based on the good reports I see from time to time out of Ruston it looks like a general trend, doing facility upgrades eight years later. Since the debt on ours is retired or right at it, I suspect around 2011-2012 the odds are good that our Daktronic board will be scrapped and once again we will upgrade and Tech fans will be waiting to for the chance to catch back up.

LOL!!Do some of these people actually get outside of Ruston? While their improvements are being constructed, many Sun Belt programs have more improvements scheduled to begin next year. So much for seperation!

This discussion seems to be centered on what the ATHLETIC departments are doing, not the schools as a whole. You have scrubbed down, washed, painted, mowed the grass around football stadium, basketball arena, etc. which improved appearance dramatically. NO new facilities at all but have replaced floor in basketball arena, remodeled dressing rooms, new field turf for football, improved lighting system in stadium, upgraded scoreboards for womens sb, mens bb, and new video board for football. So what else has your athletic dept actually done other than just "talking" like everyone else? Plans, as you know, dont mean a hill of beans until the first dirt is moved. If everyone on this board laid out their schools "plans" it would take weeks to read.

New tennis courts, new track and field, new bowling alley? (Athletic dept had nothing to do with this. These facilities were built with future student assessments, they voted to pay for that.) Plans for new softball, soccer, new end zone project, and pool are PLANS, mostly a wish list, heck everyone has plans. The only upgrades to your stadium was video board, new turf, improved lighting system, cleaned and painted, which I mentioned. And, for the record, I was in the USM football facility last evening toured the new suites, new field house facilities, and Tech is so far behind its unreal. In fact, you are about $47 mil behind what I saw. If you want to talk about "plans" then I can blow you away with what USM has in the works. For example, if you want to mention parking lot then USM is in the process, its approved, to build a 14Mil parking garage and they are ready to start digging holes. Whats that compared to tech just filling in potnoles?
