Troubling reports about Air France Flight 447
More information related to earlier posts about the ill fated Flight 447.
Quote:Autopsies have revealed fractures in the legs, hips and arms of Air France disaster victims, injuries that — coupled with the large pieces of wreckage pulled from the Atlantic — strongly suggest the plane broke up in the air, experts said Wednesday.
Two things would likely cause mid-air breakup, design flaw, or a bomb.
Quote:When a jet crashes into water mostly intact — such as the Egypt Air plane that hit the Atlantic Ocean after taking off from New York in 1999 — debris and bodies are generally broken into small pieces, Ciacco said. "When you've had impact in the water, there is a lot more fragmentation of the bodies. They hit the water with a higher force."
So was this an Airbus design problem or possibly a practice run by a terrorist group on how to do something like this on multiple planes on the same day?

But you skipped the part where they said the bodies weren't burned...unlikely to be a bomb.

It did say a explosion could not be ruled out.
Quote:If something caused the lower fuselage to burn or explode, "passengers would not be exposed to any blast damage" and the plane would still disintegrate in flight," Goglia said. "These are scenarios that cannot be ruled out."
Wasn't the Pan Am jet in England brought down by a bomb that blew off the cargo door?

yeah, think Lybia was behind that one
Depends on the type of bomb and where its located vs. passengers found.
I would think all you need to do is blow a sizeable hole in the plane somewhere to break the whole thing up.

Yes, 5 pounds of plastic explosives inside a "getto blaster" radio that was in checked baggage.
They need to find the fuselage and see if there is anything that shows a force from inside the plane.
But this was a composite fuselage, so it might look different from a typical explosion on a metal plane.

They were dead from apoxia seconds after any crack in the plane.

I was taxiing through LAX today, and saw one of those Air France Airbus 330's. It was kind of creepy looking at one.....
Also saw several of those new Airbus 380's. Oh my those things are huge.

Supposedly someone in the Middle East has ordered a 380 as a "private jet"... what in the hell does he have in it.. a basketball court?.. a flying house of ill repute?
I guess if you have the money, it doesn't matter what the toys cost.

RE: Troubling reports about Air France Flight 447
How about this for a theory?
All the controls are computer-controlled, to the extent that the computer can take the airplane away from the pilots. The first crash, at the Paris Air Show IIRC, came when the computer flew the plane into the ground and the pilots couldn't wrest control. What say you load a virus into the computer that starts messing with the controls, creating excessive torque and vibration, and twisting the thing apart.
This is still a theory that I think might be applicable to the American Airlines jet that went down in New York a little over a month after 9/11. That was attributed publicly to wingtip vortices, but I can say that I learned how to fly at a C-5 base, those puppies have about the most significant wingtip vortices of anything, and we had to learn to stay away from them. What happened to the flight isn't the way wind shear typically happens. I also have one piece of information that suggests very strongly to me that somebody, either with the feds or AA, suspected this as a possible cause.

RE: Troubling reports about Air France Flight 447
Here's what I think, the plane was experiencing several 100 MPH updrafts and downdrafts that made the onboard computer overreact and overcompensate stressing the plane's structure to the point of breaking the vertical stabilizer off. From there, the entire thing went into violent rolling patterns which, added with the wind, tore the plane apart.
Well, that's just my theory. It's not like a vertical stabilizer hasn't ever removed itself from an Airbus or anything.

No. You have it all wrong. It will be given to terrorists to learn how to take it down.

Isn't Airbus subsidized by the French Government?
