mailto URL
Code:
[url=mailto://      J Biggers   <J.Biggers@memphis.edu>?subject=Atlanta Gwinnett Braves event]J.Biggers@memphis.edu[/url].

J.Biggers@memphis.edu.
Link created is correct except for the Display name having // in it.

Code:
[url=mailto:J.Biggers@memphis.edu?subject=Atlanta Gwinnett Braves event]J.Biggers@memphis.edu[/url].

J.Biggers@memphis.edu.

Puts unwanted http:// on the URL.
Code:
http://mailto:J%2EBiggers@memphis.edu/?subject=Atlanta%20Gwinnett%20Braves%20event

Code:
[email=<J.Biggers@memphis.edu>?subject=Atlanta Gwinnett Braves event]J.Biggers@memphis.edu]emai  addr[/email]

<J.Biggers@memphis.edu>?subject=Atlanta Gwinnett Braves event

DOES not even make the email a link

RE: mailto URL
1) The W3C mailto: prefix does not have appending slashes
2) The [email] tag does not exist
3) The [url] tag is used for http, https, news, or ftp urls. mailto is not included

It should be too hard to simply write: E-Mail: "youremail AT yourdomain DOT com" or similar. Mailto links to a local emailing program installed on your computer, which most people probably haven't setup.

correct
the problem is to keep the software for this borad from putting http:// in front of the mailto: The slashes are needed that is the PROBLEM

Quote:2) The [email] tag does not exist
????? see the button next to the link button

EXAMPLE:
bogus#bogus.com
Quote:3) The [url] tag is used for http, https, news, or ftp urls. mailto is not included

what I'm trying to do is
Code:
<A HREF="mailto:bogus@bogus.com?subject=pre filled  subject&body=pre filled body> bogus@bogus.com </A>
