UC will introduce Jamelle Elliott as its new women's basketball coach at a 4 p.m. press conference Tuesday. Elliott has been an assistant coach at UConn for the past 12 years and is known as an outstanding recruiter. She's a 1996 UConn graduate who played on the Huskies' first national championship team in 1995. She finished her playing career as the school's second-leading rebounder with 1,054 and 11th-leading scorer (1,387 points). At the time of her graduation, she was only the second player in UConn history to pass the 1,000 mark in both points and rebounds. Elliott replaces J. Kelley Hall, who was fired after two seasons at UC.

Good hire UC. Good to see many UCONN assistants getting HC jobs. She was a good player when she played at UCONN. That being said, she won't beat UCONN LOL.
