Wow, looks like someone else is playing by the Paul Stanton playbook.

Students at the University of New Orleans have voted against paying more to keep athletics at UNO.
53 percent of the students voted no on the proposal to save the sports teams amid big budget cuts.
Leaders at the school say it is now up to lawmakers.
"The only hope we have to preserve UNO Athletics as a Division I program is now in the hands of the Louisiana Legislature," said Chancellor Tim Ryan in a news release. "If the proposed budget cuts are not reduced through legislative action, the University will have no alternative but to eliminate the general fund support for Athletics. The UNO Division I Athletics program cannot survive without this revenue."
UNO says that 2,669 UNO students voted on the referendum to increase the athletic fee paid by each student.
1,418 students (53.1 percent) voted against the proposed athletic fee increase.
1,251 students (46.9 percent) voted for the increased fee.
The school asked students if they wanted to pay an extra $8 per class hour to fund athletics.
