Unfortunately, the pendulum on this forum is still swinging back and forth with a bunch of highs and lows. There's alot of excitement to get everyone's hopes up; however, with the current roster in such flux, there are alot of fears about the team dropping a couple of notches as well. I'm sorry you experienced some of the backlash of those fears, please don't go.

I, for one, liked CTG's contributions to this board. He always said that these were just things that he was hearing and to take them for what it's worth. Sheesh. This is a friggin messageboard. Let the man be, and let him share with us what he hears. Just ridiculous that he was driven away. If you don't like reading it, or choose not to believe it then so be it...but don't ridicule him off the board.

Some people just can't help themselves, the woman at home is displeased as she should be so internally some of these guys have been rotting for years. Yeah you're personality come through in every single letter, especially since the new kid on the block arrived. His significance right or wrong was simply too much to bare huh? You know who you are, I remember some of you in Memphis outings when just trying to enjoy myself and share some of my experiences when abruptly that dark cloud appeared. The hate cloud.

Do us all a favor, a lot of you guys are too old to enlist in the military in order to get yourself blown up in war, so you'd rather blow Memphis up instead with your abhorrence and ignorance. Take a right or left turn on the M bridge next time you are downtown please.

I know some people in the AD and I know a couple of former players.

I have transplanted to Vermont about four years ago and just enjoy the ability to keep my pulse on the things going on in Memphis. I can't take any of it for truth until it is reported by a reliable source, not on a bloggers page.
Sure, we all love our Tiger Ball our we wouldn't even be on this site. But none of this is worth the hate and despair that some put out there. It is for fun and a sense of pride we do this.

the influx of new guys with an attitude (yes i realize there are alot of new valuable posters too) is not a good thing, and I wish there was just a tad more regulation...alot gets posted here as "just an opinion" which is nothing more than thinly veiled bashing. I know its why I have quit reading/posting as much the last week or two

It is not just the new guys who berate other posters on this board. Some folks just seem to enjoy being :moon2:

There are quite a few of the hostile type posters who have been here awhile, (though some have moved on) as well as a few of the newbies who seem to enjoy or berating others. Personally, I find it pathetic.

We dont have to agree on everything but that is no reason to be insulting to each other.

I, too, hope you will reconsider. Your rep points prove that it was a very small but vocal minority that bashed you. Don't let a few small people drive you away. Be bigger than them. There are many of us who appreciate your contribution and your willingness to share what you were hearing. In any event, I am sorry that this happened. You certainly didn't deserve the treatment that you received.

Well that is the weird part to me - I don't think anyone pays attention to the "new posters" that much. It seems to me - the people who have acted like the biggest ***** on here are some members of the "old guard" because they don't like that new people come on here and claim to have inside knowledge and post some OPINIONS. I think they are jealous personally - I really do - some of these guys were looked at like heroes on this board - and the same guys have now chased away some valuable posters, both new and old, because they can't take being a little less irrelevant.

This is a message board - we are supposed to post opinions - we should all take responsibility with what we post - because we are all tiger nation. What we pass on for info should be given with the best intentions - even if it is occasionally inaccurate. If people are sharing with the best of intentions - then I love them posting because it's what we all want - more information about what could possibly be happening around the common theme that we all love; Our athletic programs.

Thanks CTG - and I'm sorry about the actions of a select few. I'd be glad to consider you a friend because I think you are trying your best to help us all out.
