To Seattle with a big RU chant at the draft for him. This is a guy who fought through so much adversity throughout his career here. He was one of the main reasons for our success but never gets the credit he deserves. From starting off 1-5 and even getting booed to 7 straight wins and the two best game ratings of any QB in 2008 vs Pitt and Louisville. Congratulations Mike you deserve it.

I was surprised that it took so long. I thought he would have been picked earlier.

Most gurus were saying that he wasn't going to get drafted and that he'd be a Free agent

Good for Teel. Although I think sometimes guys picked in the 6th or 7th rounds are better off as free agents since they can pick the best situation for them. Many of those 6th or 7th rounders don't make the team at end of the day. Teel will get a chance. They got a QB who is getting old and is injury prone.

normally Id agree that its better to be FA but Seattle is a good team and he could develop nicely there

Not only is Seattle a good team, they just picked up TJ Housh from the Bengals, and Matt Hasselbeck is injury-prone. Good for Teel!

5 players drafted and the first ever 1st round pick for us definitely a difference.

Hope he makes the roster, but we'll see. Seneca Wallace is a capable backup and did a fair job in relief of Hasselbeck last year.

You're right, I forgot about Wallace. I wonder how much longer Hasselbeck will be in Seattle.
