WSU is wearing PT stickers on their helmets on Saturday vs ASU in Tempe to honor former Sun Devil Pat Tillman. Very Classy move, thanks Coogs!
From the Seattle times:
Doba spoke to the Cougars about Tillman on Sunday and reminded them how the former Sun Devil had spurned a multi-million dollar extension from the Arizona Cardinals to fight for his country.
"That's really rare in today's society," Doba said. "He turned down millions to serve his country."
Before talking to the team, Doba got a briefing from Robin Pflugrad, WSU tight end and recruiting coordinator, who was on the ASU staff the final three years of Tillman's years as a Sun Devil (1994-97).
Tillman was the Pac-10 defensive player of the year in 1997 and the league has renamed its defensive player of the year award after him. All season long, the ASU football team has worn a patch with Tillman's number on its jerseys.
